Welcome to the Oregon Outback 230… a race like no other!
230 Mile Point-to-Point Endurance Run
July 16-21, 2027
Registration Opens this June 1st on UltraSignup!
The Oregon Outback 230 is a point-to-point adventure through the indescribably vast and beautiful wildscapes of the Oregon Outback. This is a land as lovely as it is lonely; a sweeping, soul-stirring place where the ancient volcanic arc of the Eastern Cascades gives way to the sage-scented solitude of the Basin & Range.
There are few places left in the world that offer the sense of solitude that the Oregon Outback provides. You will be woven into the tapestry of birth, life, death, and renewal in a way that cannot be described, only felt. The Oregon Outback is also the largest designated International Dark Sky Sanctuary in the world!
The Oregon Outback 230 takes place upon lands significant to the Modoc, Klamath and Yahooskin Band of Northern Paiute peoples.

*Please note that taxes & Ultrasignup fees are applied at registration checkout.

Volunteer Service Requirements
There is a volunteer service requirement for the 2027 Oregon Outback 230 Mile Endurance Run. Recreation in our wild spaces and natural areas can and does have significant and sometimes damaging impacts on the places we explore and love. These impacts have become greatly magnified by the growth of our sport, the growth of outdoor recreation in general, and the ever present and often careless influence of social media. Please complete 8 hours of volunteer service in one of the activities below:
Habitat restoration (e.g. native plantings, invasive species removal, watershed enhancement projects, natural area clean-up).
Trail building, repair, or restoration.
Volunteer activities that enable inclusivity and access to outdoor activities and opportunities for underrepresented or marginalized groups and/or children.
YOUR EIGHT (8) SERVICE HOURS MUST BE COMPLETED AND DOCUMENTATION SUBMITTED BY CHECK-IN FOR THE 2027 RACE!
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for doing your part in making the Oregon Outback 230 Mile Endurance Run a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and rewarding experience for yourself, other runners, volunteers, search & rescue, and race staff. Thank you for doing your part to help preserve and protect our wild spaces, and helping others to do the same.
Pacers
Pacers may be picked up at all crew-accessible aid stations beginning with Ana Vista Aid Station (Mile 56.9). Please see the 'Oregon Outback 230 Aid Station Details' document above for locations and mileage.
You are limited to one pacer at a time at all times. Depending on where you are starting, remember that it can be up to two hours or longer on remote forest service roads to get to many of the aid stations. Please take this into account when planning your pacing and crew/support timing.
Please read and understand the following Oregon Outback 230 Mile Endurance Run pacer requirements:
Pacers MUST check in with their runner during race check-in. Pacers will sign a waiver and be assigned a PACER bib.
Pacers must remain with their runners at all times.
Pacers may not mule or otherwise take/give supplies except at aid stations. Adaptive athletes may be considered for exceptions to this on a case-by-case basis.
Pacers must abide by all course rules and permitting agency requirements. Runners may be disqualified from the Oregon Outback 230 Mile Endurance Run if their pacers do not abide by all course rules and permitting agency requirements.
