We are so excited to see you in October for this truly one-of-a-kind alpine celebration of foot-powered adventure to our local backyard volcanic playground: Mount Bachelor!

We are overjoyed to host the highest elevation timed races on the West Coast! The beauty of all timed races is that you can be as ambitious or as leisurely as you wish while enjoying camaraderie and community along the way. The beauty of THIS timed race is 360 degrees all around you!

Saturday events start & finish at Pine Marten Lodge. Runners & crew will access Pine Marten Lodge via the Pine Marten Chairlift. Drop bags will be brought up for you. In addition to a fully-stocked aid station, the cafe and restaurant in Pine Marten Lodge will be open for business as yummy n' usual! We will also have one of the coziest sleep station in all of ultrarunning!

This resplendent loop takes you all the way to the summit and all the way back down! The singletrack is unparalleled, and so are the views. Two festive and fully stocked aid stations are yours to enjoy along the way. The outrageously beautiful alpine scenery will surround you for the entire run… 360 degrees of wow!

The Summit Vista 16K starts & finishes at Westside Village. This is the full tour of the mountain!

Runners will have 4 hours to complete the loop, making it great for runners of all paces!

This shorter but just as spectacular loop trades the rugged summit loop for the sweeping panorama of the Cloudchaser Cutoff. This loop is pure alpine running shred fest! Two festive and fully stocked aid stations are yours to enjoy along the way. The outrageously beautiful alpine scenery with surround you for the entire run… 360 degrees of wow!

This is a wonderful opportunity for folks wanting to try out mountain racing or for those looking for fast hills.

The Cloudchaser 12K starts & finishes at Westside Village.

Runners will have 3 hours to complete the loop, making it great for runners of all paces!

For those who fancy they just want to run up a hill, here’s your thing! At 2.3 miles straight up, the Red Road Hill Dash was designed with the hill-addled in mind.

Of course, those with the common sense to take their time going up, this is packed with alpine views. If you are going for “speed”, that’s on you.

The Summit Vista 16K starts & at Westside Village. You can only go up from here, because the Red Road Hill Dash concludes at Pine Marten Lodge. You will enjoy your hard-earned scenic ride back to the start on the Pine Marten Chairlift.

Registration fees include use of the Pine Marten Chairlift to travel up & down the mountain between Westside Village & Pine Marten Lodge for the duration of your event!!!

Runners will have 2 hours to complete the loop, making it great for runners of all paces! I know we keep saying that, but it’s because it’s true!

These races take place high up on the Central Oregon Cascade’s Mount Bachelor.

These races are rugged up high, runnable down below, and breathtakingly beautiful everywhere.

We are grateful to be hosting the start/finish and race headquarters at both Westside Village at the base of the mountain & Pine Marten Lodge 1,400 feet above. These full facilities have restrooms, food, water, and festivities… as well as restaurants & cafes open for business! Of course, we will have three fully-stocked and fully festive aid stations:

There is plenty of parking at Westside Village. Car & RV camping will be available in the Westside Village parking area. There is also plentiful nearby car, tent, and RV camping in Bend and the vast Deschutes National Forest.

Bachelor Summit Trailfest take place upon lands of people who have called this home for thousands of years prior to colonization. Tribes with historic ties to the area include the Tenino, Wasco, Warm Springs, and Northern Paiute peoples 🙏🏼

Wonderland Running fully supports and respects the restoration of rights of Indigenous peoples from whom these lands were taken.

Directions: Mount Bachelor Westside Village

Directions

Here are the directions from Bend to Mount Bachelor West Village:

  • Head west on Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway/NW Colorado Avenue. There will be a series of roundabouts west of the Deschutes River. They are noted below:

  • Continue to follow NW Colorado Avenue for 0.4 miles. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto SW Colorado Avenue.

  • After 0.3 miles, at the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on SW Colorado Avenue.

  • After 0.4 miles, at the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto SW Century Drive.

  • After 0.3 miles, at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on SW Century Drive/Cascade Lakes Highway for 19.2 miles.

  • Use any lane to turn slightly left off of Cascade Lakes Highway toward Westside Village.

  • After 0.8 miles, you will find a very large parking area with designated event parking.

Portland, OR: 4 hours

Eugene, OR: 2½ hours

Seattle, WA: 6½ hours

Boise, ID: 6 hours

San Francisco, CA: 9 hours, 15 minutes
